I met Lauren when she still worked for Hidden Furniture. I talked with her for like 15 minutes about… furniture, and then we became Facebook friends. Fast forward to her pregnancy announcement on Facebook and me causally commenting about working with her for maternity and newborn portraits. Fast forward again and I was arriving at her house to meet face to face with her for only the second time in 12 months and hugging her neck because that’s how awesome Facebook can be. Bringing people together since 2004!

Lauren is a interior decorator so it only made sense to start their maternity session in their beautiful home, just off the golf course. We hung out in their white and cream living room before cuddling up with a good book or two in baby boy’s nursery, which of course was perfection! Grays and whites for the win!

It may have been end of January but with just a slight chill in the air, we hopped over to the golf course for some sunset portraits on the greens. You know how much I like shooting outside but since their home was abundant with natural light, I don’t know which set I like more!
