St. Louis holds a special place in Alaina & Chris’ hearts. She’s from the area and he proposed to her at the Botanical Gardens while visiting her family. They may have met while going to school at Purdue University and currently live in Pennsylvania but it’s only fitting that their September wedding take place in the beautiful city known as the Gateway To The West!

And why not also shoot their engagement session there?! Neil and I met Alaina & Chris in one of my favorite place in St. Louis – Forest Park – at the World Fair Pavillon to start the afternoon off. It was a blazing 90+ degrees but they were troopers and never let the intense heat and humidity bother them! In fact, they ended their session down town at Citygarden in sweatshirts! You guys, these two were committed in everything they do: in their ideas for engagement portraits, in their jobs and education (Aerospace engineering and Astronautical engineering!), and I know they will be the same in their marriages to each other!
