I immediately connected with soon to be parents Anna & Zach when we met for their engagement session at Noble Park in Paducah. Like, I feel like we are the exact same parent? I’ve always enjoyed chatting about pretty much all things babies and parenting but since having Graeme I can’t help myself! I’m always the first to ask – What’s your birth plan? Are you going to breastfeeding? And on and on and on. No judgements here, just simply curious, but I’m usually met with answers that line up with how I’ve chosen to parent. It was exactly like that with Anna & Zach!

Not that I don’t bond well with all my clients, regardless of their parenting styles, because I do but it definitely makes the chit chat during our sessions go so smoother. Anna and I bounced ideas off from each other, they asked for a few tips, and I fell in love with all their plans for the nursery – a dog theme! How could I not?? Anna shared with me that everyone knew the gender but they were keeping Baby Boy’s name a secret until his birth. And I’m totally stealing that idea when/if we have another child!

As this sometimes happens, their 30 minute session turned into a 45+ minute session when All The Things added up: great lighting, good (and people free) backgrounds, and a couple so in love with each other and their unborn child. Plus, we just HAD to make it over to the pavilion over the water for a few shots where Zach proposed to Anna years ago. Because, why not? Stayed tuned for Baby Boy’s newborn session coming soon!
