An Talon Falls Barn Wedding | Paducah, Kentucky
This wedding was a whirlwind! Cassie contacted me back in August saying YAY she was engaged! And the wedding is in October…. of this year! As in two months! She had a lot to get planned but if anyone could do it, it was Cassie! And pull it off, she did! On their wedding day, the Events Barn looked spectacular inside and out, the vendors were top notch, and the weather did exactly what we needed it to do, when we needed it to do it!
My husband Neil is a runner so when he has a race I give him a day off (hah!) and work with one of my favorite second shooters that I’ve worked with before Neil started shooting with me on the regular. Megan and I arrived at the Event Barn a tad early to scope out the area. I like to arrive early to weddings to find the bride and her girls and the groom and his guys and to say hello in an un-rushed manner before starting my day. But if I’ve yet to shoot at a particular venue, I definitely want to take my time to walk around and get a feel of the area – this is typically when I choose portrait locations for throughout the day.
This location scouting definitely came in handy because we jumped from first look, to bride & groom portraits, to wedding party portraits, to ceremony, to family portraits, and then back to more bride & groom portraits, all within an hour and a half!
