It’s another gloomy spring-like winter day here in Western Kentucky and in order to motivate myself to be productive today, I’m starting my morning (from here on out) doing two things before I do anything else (work related):
1) Completing something from my to-do list that doesn’t also add to my list. Like blogging for example! I usually start my work day off opening my email and answering any emails that can be answered within a minute, and then adding the other email’s tasks to my to-do list. Answering my email ADDS to my to-do list, and while it’s a necessary part of my day (multiple times a day), it’s not very motivating…. it’s actually rather draining! But blogging! Blogging allows me to check it off of my to-do list and doesn’t add more tasks at the same time! Win!
2) Doing something that lifts my mood and encourages me to get going on my day. Like blogging a sunny and exciting portrait session!
Kortney and Harrison were blessed to find themselves pregnant a few months ago and I was honored to be one of the very first people Kortney told! It’s kind of necessary when you’re interested in an announcement session 😉 Kortney is now 25 weeks along with Baby Girl Teagan – it’s hard to believe she’ll be here with us in a few months!
We met at our go-to location for their announcement/anniversary session, where they got engaged and where we shot half of their engagement session, with an adorable blue cruiser bicycle they rented from Bike World and the most precious, iconic red Radio Flyer tricycle they purchased as soon as they found out they were expecting! I loved Kortney & Harrison’s vision for their session because it is SO them! They are both avid cyclists – and their little girl is sure to be one as well!
