A Marion Illinois Wedding
Lauren & Brett are extremely proud of their new home and land they purchased only a few months ago. So proud that their entire engagement session took place there when they’d only begun to make it their own. So proud that most of their wedding portraits were taken there this past Saturday. So proud because this place is where they will begin their new life together as husband and wife. And if you saw their engagement session, then you’ll know why, as their photographer, I was proud that they chose their land for both portraits! It’s stunning!!
If you were in the area this past Saturday, you will remember that is was the first truly “fall” day we’ve had but it was hard to complain! Due to the warm October we had, November has been hogging all the beautiful fall colors and while it was also really windy, Lauren & Brett’s bridal party was champs during portrait time! We knocked it out in record time and had everyone back at the church with time to spare for the ladies to pin back a few loose strands and spray on additional hairspray before the ceremony started.
Lauren & Brett’s wedding, while similar to most modern weddings, had a unique twist. After the church ceremony, everyone enjoyed dinner and cake in the church fellowship hall before heading to the country club for dancing, toasts, and more dancing. The exit images you’ll see below was the exit from dinner to dancing and it was inside due to the cold. Very cool and new idea and Neil and I loved it!
