A Winter St. John’s Catholic Wedding | Paducah, Kentucky

It wasn’t raining when I arrived but that was short-lived. And we all knew it was coming. It started sprinkling during their first look but since both Katie & Simon had their hearts set on it taking place at the very same place that Simon proposed to Katie, we had to make it work at the old school house next to the church. Thankfully, the front porch of the school house was covered! It was the saving grace for both the first look and most of the bride & groom portraits!

But Katie & Simon are the kind of people that really could have cared less that the rest of their day was forced inside due to the rain. So many of the family and friends had come from miles away to celebrate their wedding and they’re now married! AND we were even to step outside for a short time between the ceremony and reception for a few more rain-free bride & groom portraits, which made this photographer very very happy!
