A Paducah Kentucky Wedding
Taking a full week off from blogging and editing in the middle of wedding season is not something I’ve ever done, but I must say, I’ll probably do it again – it was much needed! In Kentucky, portrait season is pretty much year round, and wedding season runs from March till October (sometimes December!). Things can get pretty hectic from time to time and when life is added on top of a busy photography season, sometimes you just need to step away from some things to prevent burnout. Oh the dread burnout! Although I still photographed three engagement sessions this past week, it was nice to break away from the computer for a while.
Before I took my computer hiatus, I shot a beautiful late summer wedding in my hometown. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE photographing new and exciting places but sometimes, it’s good to be home! Chelsea & Chase’s wedding was just that – a ideal Paducah wedding: an Arcadia United Methodist Church ceremony, portraits out in a field as the sun set, and a Renee’s Event Center reception!
My favorite things about their day? Their beautiful daughter, the flower girl, trying on her momma’s veil and bouquet out for size. The tears during the Bride & Father-of-the-Bride’s First Look and the groom’s first look as his bride walked down the aisle! And the milk and cookie bar near the end of the reception! YUM!
