Payton & Lukas

A Downtown Paducah Winter Wedding

I won’t lie, it was cold but it could have been colder and I’m positive that’s what Payton & Lukas were telling each other all day long. That and the hope that this delusional woman (that would be me) photographing their portraits outside in 35 degree weather was going to get SOME good pictures – that’s what kept them rocking their entire wedding day! Inside or out, it was more than obvious that Payton & Lukas were there for one thing and one thing only – to start their lives together as husband and wife and celebrate their love with their friends and family.

Last Saturday started off like most wedding days do – the girls had their hair and makeup professionally done and then met me and Neil at the church for bridal details and getting ready photos. What was different about Payton and her girls was that they were completely done and waiting on us when we arrived! It’s apparent that everyone following the timeline Payton and I created together precisely! I love it when a good plan works perfectly! Neil joined the guys at the 1857 Hotel where, what do you know, even they were right on schedule! The rest of the day ran so smoothly that the groomsmen even had time to run to the mall, dressed in their wedding attire, while we were shooting Bride & Groom portraits across the street, to sit as a group on Santa’s lap and wish for the only thing they collectively wanted for Christmas – a happy wedding day and a wonderful life for the newly weds!
