A Carbondale Wedding Garden Wedding
I hadn’t shot at The Wedding Garden prior to Racheal & Marty’s wedding so I jumped on their website to see images of the venue and the surrounding area. As I was driving through Carbondale, I kept thinking “This can’t be right…” The venue is placed smack dab in the middle of the city, yet the images on the website boasted a totally different atmosphere. I arrived and was thoroughly impressed with how out-of-the-way The Wedding Garden felt, without it being out in the middle of nowhere!
To add to an already beautiful venue, the fall season was really showing off that day. It was warm but not too warm, which is necessary for a comfortable outside ceremony, and fall colors were all around. It was all so lovely that we did all we could do to stay outside during every portion of the day, including the “getting ready” time for both Racheal & Marty!
My favorite parts of the day had to be when Marty cried. Yes, I said parts! The first time was as he read Racheal’s letter to him before their first look. And the second time was during their first look, which I always hope for. But the third time caught me off guard – when Racheal walked down the aisle. Even after 10 years, Marty was still blown away by the realization that Racheal would be his wife, forever and always.
