A St. John’s Summer Wedding
It was calling for rain all day long – it was threatening to pour on us at any minute throughout the day. But God blessed us last Saturday because it only rained, and just lightly, during the ceremony and while we were inside during the reception. It never rained while we were shooting outside! Can I get an Amen?!
I always enjoy working on the timeline with my bride & groom because, while parts of the day are typical for every wedding day, when the bride chooses to have me arrive tells me what is most important to them. Rebecca and her girls had hair and makeup done at one of my favorite salons in Paducah but having that photographed wasn’t her priority. Even though Rebecca’s family isn’t Catholic, having a half wedding mass was meaningful to Frank and his family. Both Rebecca & Frank cherished their engagement portraits so just one Bride & Groom Portrait time during their day wasn’t enough! But what topped their list was time spent with their beloved friends and family. Neil and I both commented that, even though it was possibly the longest we’ve ever photographed a reception, time flew by and we were enjoying ourselves! Everyone was having such a blast!
