Alyssa & Kyle

A Warm Late Fall Ledbetter Kentucky Intimate Wedding

It’s so refreshing to photograph an intimate wedding ceremony every once in a while and Alyssa & Kyle’s was pure perfection. They’d planned to have the ceremony on a beautiful clear plot of land that looks out over the Ohio River that belongs to Alyssa’s father, however the rains in the days before made the ground too mushy and so the ceremony was relocated last the morning of to her home church. They were disappointed but a quick scouting made it clear to me that we could at the very least do family portraits there. Family portraits after the ceremony turned into bride & groom portraits and now, those portraits are some of my all time favorites from 2018!

But rewind a little – Alyssa & Kyle have been together since high school so when he proposed 8 years later, they didn’t want to wait any longer. She contacted me one October day requesting my availability in November for an intimate Friday wedding. And one month later, I show up to a small hometown church where her best friend and her sister are helping her get ready to marry her high school sweetheart. We ended the night with a dinner reception at their favorite Downtown Paducah restaurant, Max’s. I could not have loved their wedding more!
