Week 36

March 10, 2015

How Far Along: 36 weeks and 2 days!

Weight Gain/Loss: A lot. So much so that I don’t even care anymore. I’m too close to the end to care. I eat balanced meals and I keep myself as active as I can at this point in pregnancy.

Sleep: Sleeping good enough. I now wake up between 3 and 5 times a night to pee but I’ve been falling back asleep without difficulty so I can’t complain. I’m pretty much over my head and chest cold THANK GOD but the swollen nasal membranes due to pregnancy are still around. Breath Right Strips. I’m telling y’all!

Best Moment This Week: Finishing the nursery! YUP! We can actually put a baby in the crib now and have people come over and see everything. It feels really good.

Movement: Little Guy is running out of room on the daily but he’s still making his presence known. It’s encouraging but uncomfortable. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Food Cravings/Aversions: Still chocolate and all things sweet. I’m doing a pretty good job of not giving into the cravings as often as I have them but I’m pregnant and sometimes, I just need to eat what I want to eat 😉

What I Miss: ALL OF THE THINGS NON PREGNANT RELATED. Yea. Pretty much anything I’ve ever mentioned missing, I miss it all. It is time to have this kid, you know?

Stretch Marks: Still none!

Belly Button: Same as it has been. Flat-ish.

Wedding Rings: Soooo I found a diamond ring my grandmother gave me years ago just the other day and wouldn’t you know it! It fits! MY engagement ring and wedding band of course still do not fit but now it looks like I’m at least engaged lol

Mood: Oh, my moods been fine, all things considered.

Labor Signs: Unfortunately, no. Braxton Hicks 20 hours out of the day, no matter what I’m doing but no real laboring contractions.

Milestones: If I wasn’t sure of it before, I am now. Little Guy has dropped. I breath easier and pee more frequently. Yay?

Upcoming Appointments/Events: Yesterday was my last every-two-week OB appointment. Next Monday I start going every week until Little Guy comes. It’s getting really real now.

What I look forward to: DUH. Birthing this kid!

Weekly Wisdom: Don’t wait until the very end of your pregnancy to finish up projects, in your house or otherwise. Although we’re done (enough), we still have about a week of crap to finish and it’s only put more pressure and stress on me. NOT NEEDED when you’re about to give birth. Word.
