A Haue Valley Wedding

The trust that my couples have in me is so humbling. Neil and I feel this with each and every wedding we photograph and we are always so honored to get the opportunity to work with such amazing people! Take Alaina & Chris, for example…

They hired me to photograph their engagement session and wedding from a Skype call we did while I was still pregnant! More than a year and a half from their wedding date, we began their planning and it seemed so far away. But then suddenly it was time for Neil and I to head up to St. Louis for their engagement session! And at last, this time last week we were packing our bags for their Haue Valley wedding!

We arrived and immediately got down to business… I began photographing Alaina & Chris’ attire and details while Neil hung out with Alaina and her bridesmaids as they finished hair and makeup. Then I hung out with the girls and Neil with the guys until everyone was dressed and ready for portraits! They decided not to see each other before the ceremony so we did all the bridal party portraits we could with the time we had before guests arrived – which ended up being a lot because Alaina & Chris’ bridal party were simply perfection! They chose such a great bunch!While guests arrived and Alaina & Chris and their bridal party laid low, Neil and I photographed the ceremony and reception area.

Haue Valley itself is gorgeous and the staff and Alaina & Chris’ friends and family were very careful not to distract from the stunning views and fun atmosphere. At long last, it was time for Alaina & Chris to be married!
