An Early Spring Murray State Engagement Session | Murray, KY
Makena & Joel met me at the Quad on Murray State University’s campus for the first part of their engagement session, back in early March. We were all pleasantly surprised when the weather ended up being nice – not cold at all and only a tad overcast. The only thing we had to combat was some variable wind and if anything it just made Joel more comfortable in his suit jacket – which looked very dapper on him!
Due to the time of year, the trees only had some green to them so we knew we needed to choose locations that weren’t pretty only due to foliage. Murray State’s Campus provided a nice background of vintage buildings for sure but this location is also special to Makena & Joel. They both attended MSU and are big fans so what better place to propose?
These two are so sweet on each other and it was so much to pose them! Like most grooms, Joel was a little hesitant at the beginning of their session but by the middle of their session the three of us were cracking jokes and he was letting his guard down so that I could see how he and Makena really interacted together, which meant I was able to capture purer moments between the two and their smiles were more genuine. Their August wedding is just around the corner and I can’t wait to spend more time with them on that day!
