A Kentucky Dam Village Wedding | Gilbertsville, Kentucky

Almost a year before Ashley & Gene’s wedding, I shot their friends’ (and my sister-in-law’s sister) Kortney & Harrison’s wedding and were impressed enough to book me for their engagement and wedding too! Word of mouth referrals are what it’s all about! And I was more than honored!!! Ashley use to work for a portrait photographer and knows what’s what!

Ashley & Gene’s wedding was the perfect combination of their two different personalities. She’s girly and sophisticated while he loves all things out-doors and is a real man’s man. They chose the Kentucky Dam Marina for their ceremony and the Convention Center for their reception, which offered both a beautiful outside venue and a place for Ashley to dress up. And it’s across the street from the golf course, which is perfect for a less country feel for portraits! It was win-win for everyone – including me!
