A Terian Farms Wedding
This long awaited wedding has finally come to pass and even though it just happened a few days ago, I already miss it! I miss the place, I miss the people, and I miss Beth & Stephen – one of my most trusting couples to date! From the very beginning, Beth trusted that I was the photographer for them even though there are dozens of photographers closer to Lebanon TN than I. She and Stephen trusted that it was worth the extra money to bring me down to Terian Farms for their engagement session and they had faith in me that I would supply the ideal timeline for everyone involved on their wedding day. And when the timeline had to be switched around due to rain early during the day, she said with a kind smile, “Whatever you think, Rachael”. Those are sweet words to a photographer’s ear!
Thankfully, it only rained while we were at the hotel and the girls were getting ready and as Neil and I drove to the venue, we could see that the storm was moving away from us! By the time we got to Terian Farms, the sun was shining again and the ceremony chairs were already being toweled dry. Even better was that a few clouds stuck around so the light was nice and defused the rest of the afternoon AND the temperature dropped from a balmy 98 degrees to 73! We could not have asked for better weather!
Beth & Stephen met while in college at the University of Tennessee through mutual friends and both their school and their friends were well showcased Saturday. I was surprised, actually, that Beth chose pink as her accent color and not orange! But then they broke out orange and white poms for the exit. And how many Volunteer alumni were present? Far too many for us to count! Everyone had a blast and even though we still had a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of us, we were sad when the reception came to a close.
