June 22nd, Callie & Daniel’s wedding day, was also the first day I met either one of them. I’m always a little nervous when that is the case. Usually, I meet my couples for the first time during their booking meeting. And then again, we meet again for their engagement session, and finally, a third time during their pre-wedding consultation. By the time a couple’s wedding day rolls around, the three of us a very comfortable with each other.
But when your couple lives hours away and have no connection to Paducah, those first three get togethers normally don’t occur. Of course, Callie and I had been emailing for months and Callie, Daniel, and I spoke together over the phone for their pre-wedding consultation but there was a certain excitement that ran through me that morning.
If you’re a RHP bride, you would know that after only a few times emailing back and forth, I am still mostly likely going to hug you when I see you during the booking meeting or the engagement session (if we didn’t have a booking meeting). And then hug you whenever I see you next, and the time after that as well. Yea, I’m a hugger 😉 So you can only imagine to hug that I gave Callie the first time I saw her! Their day went extremely smooth and even though it threatened to rain, it held off until after all the portraits. Lucky!
