An Early Fall Kentucky Lake Side Just Married Session

Lauren asked for her and Mark’s JUST MARRIED session to take place at Lighthouse Landing, in Grand Rivers, on Kentucky Lake. I use to be so hesitant to shoot there because in the past, I’ve struggled with full, open, non diffused high sky sun. And then around this time last year I decided that instead of being fearful of how those images taken in those settings might turn out, I would learn how my editing style translated into shooting in those conditions and how I would later process those images. And then I found out that I actually like shooting in full sun! More than diffused sun? No way, but now I’m able to turn out portraits like Lauren & Mark’s below!

Lauren & Mark, thank you for requesting this location so that I could practice more. And thank you for getting married in June and asking me to photograph your Just (or recently) Married portraits a few months later! I’m obsessed with these and you two! Let’s do it again sometime, yea?
