It’s been a while since I’ve shot an engagement session in the Patti’s Settlement/Lighthouse Landing area and I was so thrilled that our second attempt at photographing Lindsey & Patrick’s engagement session (it rained the first day) was to take place there! Lindsey has such cute ideas and the balloons, their outfits – it’s exactly what I love to see for a couple’s pre-wedding portraits. Props definitely add personality to photos, for which posing can only do so much.

Speaking of personality! This couple has it! In fact, their engagement story is just what I would expect for them… Lindsey tells it well:

“I have a four year old niece and her 5th birthday party was on January 11th. The theme was “Frozen” so Patrick and I came as “the special guest”, Hanz and Anna. We lip sang to “Love is an Open Door”, and at the end of the song Patrick got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. (At the end of the song Hanz actually ask Anna but doesn’t get on his knee, but Patrick did). It was TOTALLY a suprise. I did not expect it at. My whole family was there along with some of my close friends, so it was really special. And I’m obsessed with my niece Chloe so it means a lot that she was a part of it all.”
