I’ve been reading Oh She Glows for a few months and I’ve been telling myself I would try her Green Monster for weeks. Sunday, while grocerying with Neil I finally bought the necessary ingredients for the Virgin Green Monster:
- 2 cups organic spinach
- 1-1.25 cups milk (your choice of cow’s milk, soy, hemp, almond, rice, etc)
- 1 tablespoon flax
- 1 banana
I slept in late Monday (yay for no school!) so instead of making one for breakfast I made one for lunch. I’m not going to lie and say it is seriously the most delicious thing I’ve ever drank BUT it’s not bad. At all. In fact, I know that if I continue to drink one every morning or so I will begin to like it a lot and then eventually love it! I’m liking it to exercise. I may hate it at first but the more I do it the less painful it becomes and of course, I love what it does to my body!
You are a braver woman than me. For the sake of my health I should want to drink that thing.
Can I just eat a spinach salad instead?
Add a tbsp of peanut butter! Makes all the difference.
Also, I use Amazing Grass instead of flax. Got mine on amazon. It’s a chocolate flavor and REALLY good.
