Along side my husband of over a decade, I photograph people in love with each other and in love with their lives. We're based in Paducah Kentucky but gladly will go anywhere you want to take us! We are so glad you've stopped by to follow our most recent adventures! Grab your favorite drink and snack and get cozy... there's plenty to see!

Hey, we’re moving. Again.

May 14, 2011

A few days ago Neil and my dad got to talking and they decided they Neil and I should move into an apartment in town. Neil is ready for us to be living in our place and my parents are ready to have the lake house all to themselves. I understand all of that and in some way, I’d like to have our own place as well. This morning my parents, Neil, and I saw the only apartment that we might be OK with living in, in the area we might be OK with living in.  I was neutral to the outside of the apartment. I like the location; 5 minutes from the lake house, a few minutes from town, 10 minutes from a nearest Walmart. There were 8 apartments in total: 4 on the ground floor, 4 on the second floor. The one we looked at is the second apartment on the ground floor and will be available at the beginning of June. Below is kind of what the floor plan is. Kind of ;P

Between moving from Murray to Eddyville, Eddyville to Madisonville, and then back to Eddyville we’ve gotten rid of a ton of furniture and just house stuff in general. As of right now we only have the bare minimal pieces of furniture but no decorating items. Seriously, none. I either sold or gave our stuff away because I didn’t plan on moving again until we moved back to Paducah and into our own house. When we do that I would buy all new stuff, most likely. It’s going to take a little while for us to decorate the new place BUT we gave the landlord our deposit. So, we’re moving. Again.

No, I’m not upset or unhappy with it, I just hate the moving process and we did it back in October. It seems too soon but it’s what Neil wants.

the layout looks nice and large. I thought you owned the place you are in now.

OH my goodness. I completely understand why you feel like it’s too soon, because I FEEL like it’s too soon. And I’m not the one that has moved all over the place and back and forth. I’m sorry, Rachie. <3 I hope the the apartment turns out to be exactly what you hope and that maybe you can stay there for a while. Like Erica said, it looks pretty big. That's nice. 🙂

Ohhh, I hatttte moving with a passion! So I feel ya on this one!

The location seems REALLY awesome. I hope it works out for you both (and I’m sure it will… I mean you’re so close to everything!).

As for decorating, do you have an Ikea near? Maybe you can pick up some cheap decor and stuff from there.. yanno, for the time being?

When are you guys moving anyway?

Oh goodness! The apartment layout looks nice – loads of storage! I live in a three bedroom apartment at the moment, and it hardly has any communal storage, its so annoying! Still, I can’t imagine living with my parents again. Maybe offset the downside of moving against the brilliance of having your own place? Hope it all goes well! 🙂

I hate moving too, that’s why we almost bought our rent house so we wouldn’t have to pack anything. Good luck!! The place looks amazing and I know you are going to do an amazing job decorating. you have great taste.
