Kaitlin & Nathaniel

July 14, 2020

An Intimate Rustic Wedding at Talon Falls Event Barn in Kentucky

Kaitlin & Nathaniel’s wedding wasn’t my first wedding since COVID but it was the most restricted due to the mandatory mask wearing order being put into place literally the day before the wedding. Their venue still sits under the 50 people or less order here in Kentucky so they were also limited to how many guests they could invite. While they indeed would have loved to have all of their friends join their family only ceremony, this wedding had already been reschedule once but not for the reason you’d think.

Their wedding date was originally set for September of 2020 but in February Kaitlin was accepted into nursing school for the fall and was sure that having a wedding during her first semester wouldn’t be ideal so they moved it to mid July. And then COVID happened. <- I feel like I say that phrase at least once a day. But happen it did and then they were suddenly faced with the decision of keeping it in July but not hosting everyone they’d planned OR moving the date again. But to when? Under these uncharted times, who knows exactly when to schedule a wedding if their goal is to have a large gathering? They chose not to chance it with a reschedule. They chose to celebrate with only their family in attendance and their very best friends stand up beside them. And it was more than perfect!

After seeing Nathaniel and Kaitlin’s engagement photos, I had no doubt that these pictures would be anything but absolutely beautiful. Somehow I am amazed anyway. Anyone can take a picture, especially with camera phones these days, but to actually create art like this takes an incredible talent…and you have that talent in spades. Thank you so much for helping to make my baby and his love’s big day so very special and for capturing their love for everyone to see. ❤
