An Intimate Summer Backyard Wedding in Paducah Kentucky

Some of my spring and summer weddings have been postponed due to COVID and while I completely and utterly understand without fail, it saddens me almost as much as it does my couples because I live for photographing weddings!! I’m so very thankful that no one has out and out canceled their wedding or their photography coverage but it only means that I have to wait longer to photograph their weddings and even in normal circumstances, I’m chomping at the bit to capture gorgeous days filled with love! I can only imagine how badly my couples feel!!!

And then there are couples like Kasie & Lucas. They said no way – their day isn’t going to canceled or postponed! Once our governor allowed gatherings, the made the decision to keep their wedding date as is! They decreased their guest count, moved their ceremony and reception to the Kasie’s parents’ backyard, and said onward with love! They didn’t want to wait a moment longer to begin their married lives together and I am soooooo digging that attitude!

Other than those two changes and the increased precaution taken by everyone, their wedding day was much like it would have been before COVID. Everything went off without a hitch and even the weather cooperated for us (for the most part! <- check out the rain detail in the exit)! There wasn’t one person in attendance that wasn’t seriously so thankful for that too!
