A Private Farm Summer Engagement Session in Metropolis Illinois
Shawnie & Eric met at a mutual friend’s wedding and it was pretty much love at first sight for the both of them. How cool?!? They met at the rehearsal and immediately hit it off. So when Shawnie didn’t see Eric at the beginning of the wedding the next day she “freaked out”, as she candidly put it. After the ceremony he found her and they spent the whole night talking. They consider that wedding night their first date and have been a couple ever since!
Now they’re planning their own wedding while growing a business and renovating a house together. I’ve been there (minus planning a wedding at the same time), so I know how stressful that can be. It’s really a make-or-break your relationship kind of thing but they are MAKING IT! Not only that, they’re thriving in these new positions together. I can only imagine how great they will be together once they’ll married!
A month ago I met them at their house to location scout with them for their engagement session and their wedding. I rarely get to location scout for either anymore so it was a nice change! They wanted both the session and the wedding to take place on Shawnie’s family farm which conveniently enough was right across the street from the house they’re renovating. Returning there last week to shoot the session was so comfortable and all three of us were so ready to beginning what I consider to be the most exciting part of the whole engagement season – the engagement session!
