A Late Summer Paxton Golf Course and Grand Lodge Paducah Kentucky Wedding
When Sydney, Mark, and I met in 2017 to initially discuss me being their wedding photographer, they shared with me their vision for their September 2018 wedding to say that I was practically melting in my seat with excitement and anticipation. Ceremony in the tree line on a golf course… the one that her dad is the pro at! String lights hanging in the trees. Grand Lodge reception fully decked out by Flower + Furbish. After they booked me I jumped up and down a little bit because these two are gorgeous, their wedding was going to be gorgeous, and I wanted to be the one to document it!
Fast forward to the wedding day! Sydney and her girls got ready at The Grand Lodge, where their reception would later be, and Mark and his guys were next door at the Mini Grand. The guys being so close helped the photographer and videographer team out so much because we were able to split up without driving away to capture each group getting ready virtually at the same time and no one was delayed or rushed. Erin Hendley of f.a.c.e makeup made everyone stunning, while I hustled around everyone photographing details. I love that atmosphere! Once we all arrived at Paxton Golf Course, we had to make sure Sydney & Mark were apart because they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony. Totally fine! We worked their timeline around ideal sunlight and you can tell how gorgeous the light was literally every single part of the wedding day. We photographed Sydney and her bridesmaids AND Mark and his groomsmen at the same time just in different areas of the golf course and the light was great! Ceremony light, amazing! Family Portraits (not shown) and bridal party portraits, perfection! And last but definitely not least, bride and grooms portraits, stunning! Man, a good timeline really makes it!
You’ll notice Mark’s reaction to Sydney walking down the aisle. GAH those images get me every time! Make sure you scroll all the way to the end to watch their highlight video from the amazing Stevie Stout!
