I’ve had several ask me so I figured it was about time for me to disclose my maternity leave plans. I realize not many people take off BEFORE their due date, however, since I have no clue when little guy will make his arrival, I am giving myself a cut off date for photographing sessions. Otherwise, I’ll be going office work right up until I go into labor and will most likely get back to lite office work once we get “settled in” at home a week or so after he gets here.

DUE DATE: April 5th, 2015

BEFORE:
+ My last session is scheduled for March 7th. At that time, I’ll be one day short of 36 weeks. It’s a 30 minute family session here in Paducah and won’t take much out of me at all. The family is also aware that there’s a chance I might need to postpone until after his birth.
+ Before the session mentioned above, my last schedule session is February 11th and it’s an engagement session. Much more involved but fortunately it’s here in Paducah. I’ll be 32 1/2 weeks.

AFTER:
+ Over a year ago, before we even began IVF treatments, I booked my high school best friend’s wedding – April 25th, 2015. Yes, only 20 days after his due date. I gave said friend/bride the option to book with someone else but let her know that if I’m physically able, I will be there along with one of my best photographer friends who will pick up my slack and possibly shoot the reception without me if I feel like I need to get back home. My bride is completely comfortable with my suggestion and if I’m not able to be there at all, my photographer friend will step in because she’s awesome like that! I’ve had a few people tell me I’m crazy but I’m completely confident in this plan 😀
+ I also have a wedding on May 2nd, the following weekend, but it’s out of town. So thankful for my momma who will stay at our house with little guy and for my husband who is accompanying me down to TN! It’ll be hard to be away from him, for sure, but I believe I can handle it.
