An Owensboro Riverfront Wedding
This past Saturday’s wedding was another one where I’d never met the bride and groom prior to arriving at the ceremony site. It always makes me a tad nervous, especially when I only know what they look like by Facebook stalking! Of course, none of Emily’s Facebook pictures lived up to her gorgeousness and Eric was far more handsome in person!
Emily was born and raised in Kentucky, and studied law at University of Kentucky. Eric just happened to have moved to Lexington from Chicago and decided to try out some Lexington nightlife on the same night Emily and her girlfriends were doing the same. Emily dubbed Eric the only cute guy in the bar that night. The two parties ended up sharing a table and by the end of the night, Eric had asked for Emily’s number. The rest is history, they say!
The best thing about their story? Eric proposed to Emily with a picture of Eric’s grandmother’s engagement ring (which was also his great grandmother’s ring) that is over 100 years old! He promised he would buy her the ring of her dreams if she didn’t love his family’s ring but Emily couldn’t imagine loving anything more than that gorgeous ring, plus the sentiment that came with it!
