It’s Friday morning, and it’s freezing outside. It’s not snowing (yet) but I certainly would not want to be outside shooting a session today. Yesterday was pretty much the same. But the day before that – Wednesday – was absolutely PERFECT winter shooting weather! 55 degrees, I’m not kidding. Rebecca, Nolan, and I mentioned how lucky we were to have such great weather that day!
The two high school sweethearts drove from Middle Tennessee to Western Kentucky that day for their engagement session with me and I could not be more appreciative! The two have known each other since 4th grade but didn’t connect until their freshmen year in high school. Rebecca said he was very shy and nervous around her for months but finally asked her to be his girlfriend – through a text message even though they were sitting right next to each other at a basketball game. She said, yes but only if you stop acting for nervous around her… haha!
Their proposal, however, showed Nolan’s true personality – He surprised her by renting out the local old cinema in town, decorating it full of pictures of them from the past several years, hiring a photographer to capture everything, setting up dinner, and inviting 50-60 of their friends and family to celebrate with them after Rebecca had said YES!
