A Murray State Wedding
Even though Neil and I enjoyed our time in college at Murray State University, we are never there unless it’s for an engagement session or wedding. Driving into Murray reminds me of one of the reasons why I’m OK with no longer living there… college kids can’t drive! Haha I’m so old, I know!! But I would brave the traffic to shoot there because I LOVE shooting on MSU’s campus! And I was more than glad Rachel & Kyle chose to marry in Murray at MSU’s Old Fine Arts and the Miller Conference Center! Shooting at both locations was a dream!
I had Rachel get ready in the foyer of the Old Fine Arts building because THE LIGHT. You guys, I dare you to find a pretty lit room in all of MSU! I may or may not have moved a few pieces of furniture to accommodate us for both getting ready and portraits but no one seemed to mind, and I moved everything back! Can I just brag on Rachel for jumping on board with getting ready there? She said, and I quote, “We can do whatever you want, wherever you want”! She and Kyle made me one happy wedding photographer that day!
Another way they made me the happiest wedding photographer ever? Three, count them THREE bride and groom portrait times throughout their day! They wanted portraits on MSU’s campus and downtown during the yummy golden hour near sunset so the first was directly after their first look, the second directly after the ceremony, and the third was in the middle of their reception. I never once felt rushed by them or their family and friends and therefore, they now have SO MANY bride and groom portraits! It was a win win win for everyone!
