A Rainy Jefferson Underground St. Louis Missouri Wedding

Think back to just a few days ago – to this past Saturday… If you live where the mid-west meets the south, you’ll remember that it was raining. All.Day.Long. It was a steady heavy drizzle of a rain – nothing torrential but more than a mist. You didn’t need an umbrella if you were going to run from your car to a building but if you’re going to stand out in it for more that a few seconds, you better have an umbrella or you would definitely get wet. Your clothes would be damp and your hair would need more than just a “touch up”.

If you were a bride, the bottom couple of inches of your lace wedding gown would be wet but your photographer would have saved the rest of your self and your groom’s self because she had you holding a clear umbrella or two over your heads. If you’re remembering this past Saturday just like this, then you may be Erin and that man that stood beside you and promised to love you forever and ever may be Kyle.

And after a year or so, you may only vaguely remember the rain when you look at your images from your wedding day. But otherwise, you’ll remember all the amazing people that came together to celebrate your life and your love. You’ll remember decorating your venue with most of your Lord of The Rings paraphernalia and having three of your all time favorite St. Louis pizzeria cater your reception. And you’ll definitely remember that feeling of that first embrace during your first look at MUNY, “nuzzling” oh so close (under that umbrella) during your bride & groom portraits in Forest Park, holding hands as you became husband and wife, and dancing the night away with your best friends. You’ll remember those moments and when you do think of the rain on that day, it won’t bother you much at all.
