A Spring Farm Wedding

Why on earth would I start a blog post off with a picture of a dog – that’s not even mine? Because this here dog was an expert photo-bomber all day long and a great way to highlight the feel of Shayla & Heath’s wedding – laid back, family farm wedding. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding to start my season off!

In addition to the family dogs running around the farm and property amongst Shayla’s little cousins: the giant pond in the front of Shayla’s cousins’ property where I WISH we could have take more portraits but the sun was oh-so shining all day long. Not complaining of great weather, of course! The gravel road that runs alongside the property provided a simple background with yummy mid day light streaming through the trees! But let’s talk about Shayla & Heath’s family! Everyone was so welcoming! We felt like we were part of the family from the minute we walked in the door to Shayla’s cousin’s beautiful home! And they continued to accommodate us while I rearranged furniture in the room Shayla was getting ready, all the way to me stealing a few minutes from their reception at sunset for a final portrait!

Shayla & Heath’s day was a breath of fresh air and I look forward to photographing their family for years to come!
