A Lodge at Emerald Waters Wedding

Even though I am not a family portrait photographer, it would make my day, year, decade if I could photograph this adorable family for the rest of my career – I love them THAT much!

The forecast wasn’t looking too awesome that morning but because I knew the venue well, I prayed and prayed that we would at least get outside for a few of Shelby & Josh’s portraits, if nothing else. We were blessed that it only sprinkled once that day but we did have to work around the wind and clouds – both were in abundance. We sought shelter for most of the bridal party portraits and the family portraits under the large overhang of the lodge (thank goodness for that!) but I got my wish when Shelby & Josh agreed to step out into the yard for their portraits! As for the rest of the day – it was filled with laughter, tears, hugs, kisses, and smiles. My kind of wedding day!
