How Far Along: 30 weeks and 1 day!!
Weight Gain/Loss: According to my OB app this morning, I’m currently sitting at 42 pounds of weight gain since before IVF treatments in July.
Sleep: Breathing well still evades me, pretty much 24/7, but lately I’ve started tossing and turning throughout the night.
Best Moment This Week: Excluding this morning’s appointment because technically that has to be saved for next week’s blog post, the best moment this past week was finally picking out and purchasing our rocker for the nursery! It’s definitely not what I was looking for but I think it’s going to be exactly what I need 🙂
Movement: Little guy has been doing his favorite trick a lot more frequently – moving to the right side of my uterus and just hanging out for 10 or so minutes, which causes my stomach to be VERY lop-sided. And very funny looking! It’s not uncomfortable whatsoever so I kind of really love it 🙂
Food Cravings/Aversions: Still nothing particular. But I want to eat a lot always. So yea.
What I Miss: I didn’t realize, until chatting with my sister in law a few days ago, but I want a margarita! I’m not much of a drinker but every once in a blue moon I would order a margarita and BOY do I want one lately!
Stretch Marks: Nothing still! Think I can make it another 8-10 weeks?? We’ll see!
Belly Button: Flatter and flatter every day but still an in-y!
Wedding Rings: I might as well take this one off because there’s no getting them on until after his arrival.
Mood: ALMOST had another melt down while shopping for the nursery with my momma. Man, nursery decor and shipping is stressing the crap out of me and it’s just not as much as I want it to be. BUT, then we found the rocker and all was good 😉
Labor Signs: Braxton Hick’s contractions are growing in frequency every day but thankfully they’re not painful and only sometimes uncomfortable.
Milestones: Well yesterday marked 30 freakin’ weeks you guys!
Upcoming Appointments/Events: Because I’m in my third AND FINAL trimester!!! I’ll start growth and development ultrasounds and appointments every two weeks so I’ll be seeing our little guy more often and THAT really excites me 😀
What I look forward to: Other than seeing him more often, I’m looking forward to him growing and therefore me growing! Funny thing to look forward to but yea 😉
Weekly Wisdom: Some ladies have great pregnancies, some have good pregnancies, some say it’s just so-so, while other have a hard time at it. While I know ladies who have hard to worse than I, I consider myself in the last category. My weekly wisdom is to not compare your pregnancy to other’s because everyone is different and frankly, it does NOT help to hear “Well I never had THAT when I was pregnant” (they say with judgey eyes). I’m sincerely happy that others did not have a difficult pregnancy like I have because I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. True story.
I was in the last category as well. Until around 32 weeks (until maybe 36 weeks, lol), I was in the last category as well. I had a rough time of it. No one seemed to understand the constant nausea I had nor did they have any sympathy for it. It sucked. 🙁 Between those weeks when my nausea was finally quiet for a quick spell, I enjoyed pregnancy a little more. I loved watching my belly roll. WEIRDEST and coolest thing ever.
