This long awaited wedding has finally come to pass and even though it just happened a few days ago, I already miss it! I miss the place, I miss the people, and I miss Beth & Stephen – one of my most trusting couples to date! From the very beginning, Beth trusted that I was the photographer for them even though there are dozens of photographers closer to Lebanon TN than I. She and Stephen trusted that it was worth the extra money to bring me down to Terian Farms for their engagement session and they had faith in me that I would supply the ideal timeline for everyone involved on their wedding day. And when the timeline had to be switched around due to rain early during the day, she said with a kind smile, “Whatever you think, Rachael”. Those are sweet words to a photographer’s ear!
There is something so incredible about pregnant women – their innate beauty, their strength and courage, their wisdom beyond the years. There is a deepness in her eyes and a softness in her expressions that only comes with motherhood. Alisha recently gave birth to her second child, a precious and perfect baby girl, so today […]

I always enjoy working on the timeline with my bride & groom because, while parts of the day are typical for every wedding day, when the bride chooses to have me arrive tells me what is most important to them. Rebecca and her girls had hair and makeup done at one of my favorite salons in Paducah but having that photographed wasn’t her priority. Even though Rebecca’s family isn’t Catholic, having a half wedding mass was meaningful to Frank and his family. Both Rebecca & Frank cherished their engagement portraits so just one Bride & Groom Portrait time during their day wasn’t enough! But what topped their list was time spent with their beloved friends and family. Neil and I both commented that, even though it was possibly the longest we’ve ever photographed a reception, time flew by and we were enjoying ourselves! Everyone was having such a blast!
In case you haven’t had enough babies on my blog these past few weeks, here a double dose for you! These beautiful little babes are the perfect addition to this already family of three and came only weeks after Mom Lacey’s sister gave birth to her third baby, whose birth I photographed. Now each sister […]
As we speak, this mother is counting down the days hours until Baby Girl makes her appearance! In the meantime, we had such a fun family/maternity session and I was honored to be their photographer for the second time in less than a year! Now they if would only move back home from Ohio so we […]
Babies, babies, and more babies! I remember the days when I swore I didn’t photograph babies, I didn’t want to – those days weren’t that long ago either – then I had a baby myself. Suddenly all I could do was photograph my son and it wasn’t long before I fell in love with photographing […]
