An Early Summer Commonwealth Event Center Wedding in Paducah Kentucky
I don’t think I could’ve picked a better wedding for my 200th wedding! If you know anything about me you know I absolutely adore dogs. I have three of my own and hound dogs might be my favorite. Growing up we have always had Bassett hounds so when I learned that Megan & Cody had a basset hound I pretty much insisted he be at the wedding. They did me one better and actually had a first look with their dog text and it might be the best first load I have ever photographed!!! Pro tip, if you’re ever on the fence about including your dog in your engagement portraits or on your wedding day, the answer will always be a resounding yes from me!
It was such a pleasure to photograph this wedding because, just like Neil and myself, Megan & Cody were high school sweethearts! Their wedding seemed to be around the corner for years however it was important to Megan for her to finish her degree so that when they started their life they could truly start a new life together. You could tell in his face, Cody only had eyes for Megan. I can’t count on both of my hands the number of times he would grab her around the waist and spin her around. He was so thrilled to finally be her husband! And they were the only ones excited to get married this past Saturday. They have the most supportive bridal party I’ve had the pleasure of working with an a long time!
Megan & Cody, thank you so much for including me in your celebration! I can’t wait for us to work together again!!! And make sure you bring Tex!
