A Fall St. Paul Lutheran and Walker Hall Wedding in Paducah Kentucky

I think I’ve mentioned a time or two how special Sarah & Reece are to me. Sarah has been the nanny for my two kids since May. She started working in our home not long after her & Reece’s engagement session with me. At that point in time, her wedding was in the foreseeable future, but far enough away where it still felt like we had a ways to go. Months past and suddenly I was letting her leave a half hour early on her last day with my family so that she could meet family at the church to start decorating for the wedding day. It was then that I realized that our time with Sarah as our nanny was in fact really short. I was sad to lose her to a new adventure (her got an awesome job and I’m super proud of her!) but two days later I was back with her again, photographing her wedding. Those sad feelings were replaced with excitement and joy for this even better adventure – her marriage with Reece!

Neil and I met up with Sarah at Fox Briar Inn where she and her entourage were getting ready. Makeup and hair was well underway so Neil started hanging out with everyone while I got cozy with Sarah’s bridal details. Her dress was a dream! And I probably took too many rings shots but I couldn’t help it! They pair so perfectly together! Much like Sarah & Reece!

In fact, throughout their bride & groom portraits and during their bride & groom’s first dance, they seemed to melt into each other. As if to say, “Ah, here you are.” Reece is Sarah’s happy place. Her safe haven. And to Reece, Sarah is home.

Speaking of Home, both Sarah & Reece have amazing families that welcomed each of them into their new extended families. And if you know me, you know I love family weddings! Sarah’s sisters are her best friends and it was so lovely to see them cater to her during her big day. Reece isn’t lacking in amazing sister-ness either – He and his sister are so close, they shared a surprise brother sister dance. I don’t think there was a dry in the the room! I know mine weren’t!
