A Kentucky Lake Wedding
The day ended just as it had started – relaxed. I arrived at the cabin Katie and her girls were getting ready in to everyone ready, minus their dresses, and gorgeous! Their hair stylists and makeup artists must have magic in their traveling bags because they weren’t behind schedule, they were running way ahead! Every photographer on the planet appreciates when a timeline runs smoothly! Fast forward to Katie & Hunter’s First Look and Portraits when we got to take a few more minutes than planned because of that smooth timeline. Another thing a photographer appreciates is extra time for Bride & Groom Portraits!
And I loved not having to rush my Bride & Groom during their First Look and Portraits because I know why they chose to do a First Look – to slow down and be together for the first time that day. To spend a few short moments in just each other presences before rejoining their friends and family for the rest of the day. So that Hunter could look at Katie, really look at her, before all other eyes are on her, and tell her as he holds her close that she’s the most gorgeous thing he’s ever seen. And so that Katie can smile the biggest smile and tell him that she loves him and that she can’t wait to be his wife.
And they did exactly that. Then time started to move again and we continued on with the flow of the day and everyone remained relaxed.
