An Lone Oak In Home Newborn Session in Paducah Kentucky

I’ve been blessed by this sweet family over and over again with their trust in me. Rachel and I have known each otters since we were young – we were in a competitive children’s choir together and when I learned of her engagement to this guy names Walt, who I did not know, I secretly hoped I would hear from her. And once I did, I learned that it was actually Walt who “found” me and told Rachel about me. Of course she already knew me it felt natural for the both of us to work together. Since their engagement session in Summer of 2015, we’ve worked together for their wedding, their maternity session with their first son, and William’s newborn portraits. Somewhere in there Rachel took over running The Wedding Book so now I get to work with her directly in the wedding industry on a regular basis and it’s been such a privilege!

And just last week, with the birth of their second son, Thomas, we were able to work together once again as photographer and client and gosh you guys, it was so nice to have this sweet family in front of my camera again! Big Brother William was thrilled that I was there and while I would have loved to watch Blippi with him, I loved even more capturing him snuggling up with his new baby brother Thomas!

I also loved that Rachel is choosing to breastfeed again (she nursed William for 17 months!) so when she said I could share a modest nursing picture on this post today in honor of National Breastfeeding Week (August 1st-7th), she just about made this photographer’s whole week! I’m a breastfeeding activist so all around it makes my heart smile!
