Because this wedding is so chalk full of details and loveliness, it won’t fit into just one blog post!
During their engagement session, I felt the love of Christ in them. But as friends and family surrounded them on their wedding day, it was practically bursting from them. We started our day grabbing shots of reception details at the South Guthrie Community Center, which was decorated in burlap gorgeousness. After, we joined the girls at Spring Creek Campground for getting ready pictures and included was a hike to a waterfall for pictures. I only wish we had more time there! We then met everyone else at the Port Royal State Park, Trail of Tears for the ceremony. It’s not uncommon for me to tear up during a ceremony but this one produced flowing tears that wouldn’t stop. Nicholas sang to Ninoska, they took communion, and their three spiritual advisors prayed over them. There wasn’t a dry eye on the trail! The reception followed with great food, delicious cake, and fun music and dancing. But first, photos of the day leading up to the ceremony!
SO MANY do it yourself touches! Most every detail was done by hand!
The South Guthrie Community Center was once an old school house. Look at all the character!
The cabin at the creek where the back deck looked out over the water. LOVE.
Ninoska, girl, you are gorgeous!
Even though it was only the beginning of May, it was a HOT day but the girls wanted nothing more than to hike up to the waterfall. I wasn’t going to be one to disappoint 😉
Again, it was a HOT day but Nicholas was such a stud!
Sweetest little flower girl I’ve ever worked with!
Ninoska & Nicholas chose not to see each other before the ceremony, and even though I love love love First Looks, as long as I get photos like these I’m a happy photographer!
Nicholas singing to his bride… OMG the tears!!!
This party? So much fun! Boy, it was smoldering out there but they stuck with me and got some great images!
Work it, boys!
Ninoska & Nicholas, Thank you SO much for the honor of capturing your wedding day. It was the best time ever!!
These are my children…, Nicholas is my son, and Ninoska, now my daughter. Their wedding could not have been more beautiful. God supplied perfect weather for their outdoor wedding. Nicholas, singing to Ninoska, was so romantic and it even had its humorous moments. I have never been to a wedding where the Bride and Groom took Communion together, and then to have three of their spiritual leaders pray over them…, it was very emotional. I am so thankful that God has brought these two together. I will always be praying for them. I know God has great things ahead for these two…, because they love Him and do their best to live for Him…, every day.
All of the photos are beautiful. I have enjoyed looking at them over and over. Thank you Rachael Houser.
