An Overcast Winter Wedding in Paducah Kentucky
I rarely blog the first look between the bride and her dad. The facial expressions really have to blow me away for those images to make it on here. And Leigh’s dad knocked it out of the park! His excitement was palpable – and really, everyone’s was!
Even though the timeline so far of Leigh & Justin’s relationship is shorter than most (met and started dating in August, engaged in November, married in January!), they’d been waiting their whole lives for each other and they both knew almost immediately that there would be no one else in this world for either of them. So why delay? Why spend more time not married to each other?? Not one person in their lives could give a good reason!
It started off a mild rainy day so I was thankful everyone was getting ready at the ceremony location, which has a naturally gorgeous indoor area perfect for weddings on days such as this. I was also thankful that even though the temperature dropped significantly, the rained stopped right at the perfect time! After the ceremony, family portraits, and bridal party portraits, we were able to step outside for a few minutes of bride & groom portraits! I was so relieved that we were able to shoot on the front steps of the church – it’s literally the only location that Leigh requested we do portraits!
