Ever since I met them during their engagement session late last fall, I had been waiting for Chelsea & Tyler’s wedding. I was completely psyched last Saturday morning on the drive up to Dawson Springs, and what made the drive (heck, the whole entire day!) better was to have Neil there with me!
The church… the gorgeous church… where their ceremony took place was stunning. The perfect indoor location! And Chelsea’s dress!
The ladies got their hair and makeup done at a little beauty shop in Dawson Springs…
Then we ventured over to Chelsea’s sister’s house to get dressed. In the midst of the girls getting dressed, we ate the most delicious crab salad sandwiches. It was insanely good and Rhonda, if you’re reading this, I NEED that recipe!
Mothers, helping their daughters. Love these two images!
The dashing groom! Tyler, you totally rocked your portraits!
But Chelsea definitely stole the show! WOW!
First look time!!! This first look was made extra special by both Chelsea & Tyler’s immediate families quietly waiting in the wings. So sweet!
The following two images were actually Neil’s view. So proud of my husband!
It was so cute how Tyler kept pulling back to gaze at Chelsea’s gorgeousness!
It definitely wasn’t too hot outside for wedding party and family portraits but in all seriously, there was no better location – light or background wise – than the sanctuary of the church! These images are straight out of camera… no joke!
The musicians? Amazing! Chelsea requested that they played Taylor Swift’s Fearless right before the ceremony started. And they totally nailed it!
MARRIED!
WOOHOO!
I love it when my couples opt to do the first look and do all portraits, EXCEPT their bride & groom portraits, before the ceremony. That way between the ceremony and reception or between reception happenings, we can steal away to take advantage of the golden yummy light that occurs right before sunset!
A slightly different take on Chelsea’s favorite engagement pose…. a personal favorite of mine too!
This view is why they chose the Pennyrile State Park Lodge as their reception location. It kills!
Basketball girls! Also, Neil’s shot!
For the first time ever I photographed the first dance with my 50mm f/1.2. I am in love! And as long as people don’t mind me being a tad closer during those times, I am going to continue using it because wow!
Can you guess by the image below what Chelsea’s getting ready to do? Because as soon as she backed up, I knew it!
Nailed it!!! And the crowd LOVED it!
