Pregnancy brain strikes again! In last week’s post about Maternity Leave, I completely forgot to mention that starting this week I would only be blogging Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays instead of Monday-Friday. Yesterday was so hectic, as most days are lately, and it was a huge weight off of my shoulders knowing I didn’t have to get a blog post up. BUT, I had three individuals contact me, asking if I was going to post! Haha! I LOVE that my readers and clients are so loyal that they know a post should be up and when it’s not! That’s when I realized I didn’t mention it last week. So sorry guys!
Moving on….
Monday night was Pursuit Paducah’s February Gathering!!! Our lovely Kortney played hostess at her fiancé’s house and it was the perfect location! We were SO blessed to have 9 ladies at the gathering, even though several were simply unable to attend for one reason or another (two ladies turned up sick!).
First order of business was to go round robin with introductions. We did this for two reasons: 1) January’s Gathering was split into two separate meetings and 2) We had a brand new member join after the January Gathering! February’s gathering was themed Galentine’s Day – and to me, that meant two things: Sweets Swap and Secret Sisters! Everyone brought their favorite sweet, enough for everyone to munch on during the gathering AND take home with them! I’m actually munching on some sweets from Monday night as I write this! Thanks ladies, it was all delicious!!
But before we started in on the sweets, I passed out the Secret Sister Questionnaire for each lady to fill out so that I could later divvy everyone’s Secret Sister out to them. By all the chatting and giggling, I think they had fun answering the questionnaire! Then it was time for Prayer Requests: Joy & Concerns. The activities are definitely fun but this is my favorite part of the gathering. The ladies get real with each other and allow the group to see inside their world a little deeper than what we would otherwise see. I wrote down each and every joy and concern and when I got home, prayed over everything and everyone mentioned. As you can imagine, it was a very long prayer but I wouldn’t have it any other way! These ladies. This group. They have a giant chunk of my heart and I can’t WAIT to see what this year brings us!
