Week 31

February 2, 2015

How Far Along: 31 weeks and 1 day!

Weight Gain/Loss: Still not weighing myself often enough to track. I know I’ve gained more because my stomach is constantly growing and my tights and jeans are starting to fit a bit snug BUT you know what? I don’t care anymore! I’m growing a healthy boy inside of me and that’s all I’m concernedĀ myself with šŸ˜€

Sleep: This past week I slept better than I haveĀ been. Still waking up to pee 1-2 times a night and still having issues finding a comfortable position BUT I’m staying asleep longer these days.

Best Moment This Week: This past week Neil and I drove up north for a long weekend to visit with our best friends. Being pregnant around my best friend who has already had two kids is a blessing! Also, their toddler asking specific questions about Little Guy? Priceless!

Movement: Still as active as ever – but now he’s stronger so I’m feeling his kicks and turns more…. forcefully? Even when he kicks me in the ribs though, I’m thankful for a health, active baby boy šŸ™‚

Food Cravings/Aversions: Still no change in this. Doubt I’ll have any.

What I Miss: The belly is growing so fast – it’s almost always in the way now (and I still have 8-9 weeks to go!) so simple things like picking something off of the floor. I miss that. Haha. Oh and breathing even while bent over slightly. I miss that.

Stretch Marks: Still none!

Belly Button: Getting flatter but still an in-y!

Wedding Rings: Another no changer. I doubt I’ll be able to put them back on until he’s a few weeks old.

Mood: I don’t think it’s pregnancy-hormone-related… but this house isĀ not ready for his arrival (his nursery isn’t even finished!) and we’ve not had any baby showers yet (I have 4!) so we don’t have much for him. That combined with my decreasing comfort equals frustration and just a general feeling of unease. I’m sure after a couple showers I’ll start feeling better.

Labor Signs: Braxton Hick contractions like you wouldn’t believe but they’re not painful – only sometimes uncomfortable – so I’m fine.

Milestones: No milestones this past week.

Upcoming Appointments/Events: Now that I’m in my third and final trimester, I get to see him every two weeks so that means I get to see him next Monday! I’m so excited to see how much he’s grown and make sure everything is a-ok! Also, in a couple days I’ll have my very visit chiropractic adjustment done! WOOT! I’ve heard great things about prenatal chiropractic and I’m hoping it’ll be the ticket to being more comfortable.

What I look forward to: This week my mom and I have plans to finish the nursery! Yay! I can’t wait to see my vision finally come to life!

Weekly Wisdom: Find a friend who has, in the past two or so years, had a child of the same sex around the same time of your due date because Oh My Goodness! My best friend, whom I visited this past weekend, had a boy last April and while we were up there,Ā gave me his entire first year’s wardrobe so I now have it for my little man! Two giant tubs full of baby boy clothing! I still want new clothes for him, which I know I’ll get at the showers, but he is now totally SET and it’s a huge relief! Thanks again Megan!!! <3
