Graeme, You turned 16 months on August 1st. It’s emotionally overwhelming thinking about but living it is mentally and physically tolling. And you know what? Your daddy and I wouldn’t change it for the world! I haven’t blogged about you since your first birthday party back in April and while cleaning out my external hard […]

Normally, I write a few details about my couples for their engagement blog and then spend some time putting to words their wedding day for their wedding blog. Stephanie & Sam didn’t have an engagement session so I didn’t have the chance to write about how wonderful, intelligent, and courteous they both are individually. Or how Stephanie’s eyes light up yet soften all at the same time when she looks at Sam. Or how Sam smiles the biggest, cheesiest, but most genuine smile when Stephanie is near. Or how they share the sweetest love I have ever witnessed. And being a photographer of love, that’s saying a lot!

It came as no surprise to me, after photographing not one but TWO engagement sessions for Morgan & Cameron, that they’d be all for two Bride & Groom portrait times during their wedding day but what I wasn’t prepared for was to be in complete control of how long we did those two portrait times! In fact, neither of them cared when I asked to go a tad over!

The day ended just as it had started – relaxed. I arrived at the cabin Katie and her girls were getting ready in to everyone ready, minus their dresses, and gorgeous! Their hair stylists and makeup artists must have magic in their traveling bags because they weren’t behind schedule, they were running way ahead! Every photographer on the planet appreciates when a timeline runs smoothly! Fast forward to Katie & Hunter’s First Look and Portraits when we got to take a few more minutes than planned because of that smooth timeline. Another thing a photographer appreciates is extra time for Bride & Groom Portraits!

When soon-to-be mom for the third time Kristen called me up to inquire about birth photography, she had just finished moving from Springfield Illinois back home to Paducah but only for a short time before moving to Boston for a year. Short time meaning a month just to have her baby girl and recuperate! She […]

I sure wish I hadn’t already been booked on their wedding day when Paige contacted me but at least I got to photograph her bridal portraits (coming to the blog soon!) and her and Chase’s engagement session! And of course, true to their perfect classy southern style, both sessions took place at her grandmother’s historic […]
