Tomorrow is June. Holy Moly.

May 31, 2011

There are not enough hours in the day nor days in the week. I know everyone has times like this but right now there are about ten thousand things I need and want to do but soooo little time to accomplish them. I’m hopeful that once we come back from the cruise things will slow down.

Yesterday was an amazing Memorial Day. My friend Lorena and her husband Chad joined my family for a day on the lake; we eat great food, had great conversations, and had a blast on the water. I didn’t want the day to end. This morning Neil and I woke up early and headed to Murray to work on one of the triplex units. A new tenant is moving in Friday and we have to paint everything. We’re almost done, thankfully, but we’ll still need one more day of painting and cleaning. Tonight we’re going to finish packing everything because WE’RE MOVING TOMORROW! It’s bitter sweet but I know once we’re settled I’ll feel good about it. We’ll go back to Murray Thursday to finish the unit and again on Friday so Neil can mow while I meet with a web design client. Friday night is my sister-in-law’s wedding rehearsal and then Saturday the wedding, so we’ll be in Paducah for that. Sunday we’re taking the dogs to stay with Bryan and Megan in Madisonville while we’re on the cruise and I have Jenny‘s engagement session in Owensboro that night.

And then finally Monday morning….FINALLY we’ll leave for the cruise. We’re driving half way Monday, staying the night somewhere and then driving the rest of the way to Port Canaveral Tuesday. We board the ship Tuesday afternoon and then we’ll be off to the Bahamas until Sunday morning! When I say “we” I mean Neil, myself, my mom and dad, my brother Brent, his wife Amanda and their daughter Hannah. Just like the last two years before but this time my brother John won’t be joining us. He’s too smart to go on a Disney Cruise. Instead he’s jetting off to some place in Saudi Arabia for some hard core Arabian studies blah dee blah. Can’t he just be happy he’s studying at Oxford? Sheesh. But really, I’m proud of him. I, however, wouldn’t pass up a Disney Cruise.

So……the blog post that is occurring right after this one is a paid blog post. Disregard it, please. Unless you don’t want to. It’s your life.

It feels like everything is going way to fast. Hopefully things slow down for you soon. The cruise sounds like so much fun. Can’t wait to see pictures and read all about it.
