St. Louis holds a special place in Alaina & Chris’ hearts. She’s from the area and he proposed to her at the Botanical Gardens while visiting her family. They may have met while going to school at Purdue University and currently live in Pennsylvania but it’s only fitting that their September wedding take place in […]
Today’s blog post is a special one – our dear friends had their first child just days after Graeme celebrated his first birthday! Ever since we found out Baby Claire was a she, we’ve joked about her and Graeme’s arranged marriage, and after she arrived and we saw how incredible adorable she is, I’ve staked […]

The entire week leading up to Kortney & Harrison’s wedding it was forecast to rain all during their big day. Kortney and I weren’t too happy about it and we started discussing alternate portrait locations and planning for a rain check session for her and Harrison’s bride & groom portraits. Even though Neil and I enjoyed our time in college at Murray State University, we are never there unless it’s for an engagement session or wedding. Driving into Murray reminds me of one of the reasons why I’m OK with no longer living there… college kids can’t drive! Haha I’m so old, I know!! But I would brave the traffic to shoot there because I LOVE shooting on MSU’s campus! And I was more than glad Rachel & Kyle chose to marry in Murray at MSU’s Old Fine Arts and the Miller Conference Center! Shooting at both locations was a dream!

While working with Sarah to iron out the details of her and Andy’s wedding day timeline, I stumbled upon the information that one of my lovely friends and preferred videographers, Stevie Stout, was filming their special day. Since Stevie is located in Murray, it made sense that we ride to Owensboro together! The three of us arrived at the church together, left the reception together, and shadowed each other all day long, I’m fairly positive the wedding party and all the guests thought we were some kind of female camera gang of awesomeness. At least, I hope they did!
